Our attorney, A. Hugo Blankingship, III received a B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1982 and a J.D. from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William & Mary in 1986. He started his career as a law clerk to the Honorable Albert V. Bryan, Jr., former chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Licensed in Virginia and practicing law since 1986, Mr. Blankingship and his colleagues at Blankingship & Christiano P.C. believe in results-oriented consumer protection. He has extensive experience in federal and state courts for claims involving complex litigation, debt collection, and contract disputes.
In October 2004, Mr. Blankingship argued before the Supreme Court of the United States in the matter of Nigh v. Koons Buick Pontiac GMC. He has also argued before the Supreme Court of Virginia. In addition, Mr. Blankingship has represented a variety of cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and state courts throughout Virginia.
